Last night I was daydreamin’
I was a bird in flight
And everything just looked so fine and bright
The air was fresh and lovely
The wind kept me so high

The city within sight
I saw my house in such a different light
My window panes wide open
My bedroom light still on
I recognized it but it wasn’t home – Anymore

Will my Phoenix rise
I landed by the window
To take a peek inside
I saw my mother crying by my side
Such a peculiar vision
To see me there unseen
It was my body but I wasn’t in – I was gone

Today I was daydreamin’
I had a previous life
I was that girl that I had seen last night
Then I just laughed about it
As I flew to new heights
A previous life seems such a fancy flight – For
a bird.
